Maple & Spice Walnuts

This simple recipe will super charge your walnuts and next level your next salad or snack

These spiced and roasted walnuts are life. Super easy and super delicious ready in about 20 minutes, they will change your life!! (ok, they may not change your whole life, but they definitely change your next salad, or baked sweet potatoes!)

250g Walnuts

1 tbsp White sesame seeds

3 tbsp Maple syrup

1/2 tsp Cumin seed

1/4 tsp Ground cinnamon

1/2 tsp Pink salt

1 Tbsp Sesame oil

Toss everything together in a bowl and spread out in one layer on a lined baking tray. Bake at 170 degrees celcius until golden brown and caramelised. Allow them to cool and store in a glass jar. They will keep for a couple of months but I doubt they will last that long. I used them on baked sweet potatoes with hommus, cherry relish and herbs, fresh olive sourdough slathered with my hommus and sprinkled with the walnuts and they would be beautiful on roasted pumpkins or carrots or just snack on them as is.
